About Rachael Aoki

A native of New London, Connecticut, Rachael was involved in the performing arts from a young age. She performed in productions by Flock Theatre under the direction of Derron Wood, was a stock puppeteer at the National Puppetry Conference at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, and sang with the Connecticut Lyric Opera.

She planned to pursue the performing arts in college, but her life was changed after a chance encounter with Japanese language and culture in high school. Instead of theatre or music, she majored in Anthropology and Asian Studies at Mount Holyoke College, spent her junior year abroad at Doshisha University through the Associated Kyoto Program, and ultimately moved to Japan after graduation.

She spent the next several years working in various positions across industries all while navigating the trials and tribulations of living in a foreign country. However, longed to return to her first love of performing. She pursued opportunities where she could, appearing in plays and musicals with the Tokyo International Players, before getting her first "big breaks" doing walla for the serries Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance and getting cast as a featured extra in the TBS Sparkle movie Grande Maison Paris. Gathering her courage, she said sayonara to her roles in the corporate world in 2025 to pursue a career in voice over and performance.

Rachael has lent her voice to everything commercials to web explainers, video games to audio guides. Her clients include Shiseido, Cartier, BVLGARI, Bosch, YDK Technologies, and more. She has also voiced characters such as Eleanor Estrella in Inzauma Eleven: Victory Road as well as several upcoming video games.

She would love to bring your next script to life, so feel free to reach out to her at info@rachaelaoki.com!
